Spring brings a wealth of beauty to Texas when the flowering trees start blooming. It is usually the first touch of color I see in my neighborhood. Someone once told me that I should be a tourist in my hometown because I will likely capture my best images there so I always make a point of taking a walk around my Texas town with my camera to record some of the beauty I see. This tree was just a couple of blocks from my home. It was a sea of color against the blue sky. I thought the pink blooms against the chartreuse new leaves made a lovely contrast. I love the soft, dreamy feeling of this photo. I took several photos of the flowering trees that day but I liked this on the best. I hope you enjoy it too.
